Well,  it has been awhile since I have posted!  Things moved along very quickly as we were finishing Susie up!  Life got busy and we have traveled for two summers with her now.  She even won 2nd place at a vintage market in Boothbay ME!  Here are some picks of finishing her up!

The Paint Job!

Installing the ceiling and the wall panels!

Restoring and installing a dropleafe table I picked up at Restore!  Love having a real table in Susie!

Framing out the kitchen!

Installing the countertop.... my heavy art books came in handy!

The fridge and stove all in! They were heavy and hard to get just right!

First time lighting the stove after it was installed!  It works!!

Built all new doors and drawers out of pallet wood!  Love how they came out!  And do you see that beautiful sink?

Restored the original lights!

First time plugged in and lit up!

The lights are so pretty!
Next up is installing the floor!  I picked up a remnant piece of linoleum.
Making the template

Cut out the linoleum!

Unrolled and glued in place!  Now I have something to mop! So exciting!!!
Finishing off the back bunk and installing the closet!
A comfortable little nook!

Love this door!
It was a road side find!
Picked up a free garden shed!
Building and installing my wall easel! After all a mobile art studio needs an easel!
Making the cross pieces

Making the mast

What it looks like installed

I added multiple cross pieces.
This allows me to have lots
Of paintings drying or working on!
Made a stove and sink cover to add workspace when needed!  Made from pallet wood and some of the old garden shed!

Time to name her and tag her! All by hand!

Installing the well needed new roof vent with a fan!  It really helps to move the air!
The old vent

Out with the old!

In with the new!

And we have air!!!

The couch/bed all installed in the front!  And I love having that little chair!

Susie all set up at her first Campsite!  Her first trip was all the way to NY!  Restoring her was an adventure and now exploring with her is too!
And I think Oscar approves!  He claims the best spot to stretchout on! A dogs life!

Getting A Lot Done!

Lots has happened since I updated this blog back in February!  We have both sides of the camper butyl taped, more windows in, insulation started, stove cleaned up, and the door installed!  We have made lots of progress! Up next will be the wiring!

Family Picture before the window goes in!

Two more windows installed!

Did I mention the camper is off life support!

Stove rehab!

The door in place.  It still needs some work but it was a complete rebuild.
I will post more about the door later on...

Making Progress!

We have made some progress over the last month!  The camper now has a sturdy structure.  The floor is completely tied in.  The skirting around the bottom is just about done. The wheel wells have been rebuilt. We added additional support off the frame in the back to reinforce the back corners of the camper...and, maybe most exciting of all, we dry fitted the siding on the drivers side of the camper!  It seems like ages ago since we backed out each rotten screw one by one, labeling each piece of siding as it came off, and cleaned it! It is looking more and more like home with each day we work on it! Loving this project!

Working on the Floor:

Bolting the floor to the frame!

Working on the skirting

The Wheel well looks Great!
 Another day working:

Prepping the side for the moister barrier.  Making sure everything is even!

Mom doing some clean up work! :)

Getting ready to remove the screws from the last seem in the front!
They had to be backed out from inside and then turned the rest
of the way out from under the camper.

Starting work on the door frame...

working on the skirting on the curb side...

Finishing up the skirting!

The other Wheel Well all done!
Exciting day! Moisture Barrier and Siding! :

Oscar had to come out and check the progress!
Making sure the siding is clean and ready to be fitted...

We have to goof off some... LOL! ;)

It is all going on really well... I could not resist
helping in this stage even though I had the flu...
It was to exciting to miss out on and I think it would
make anyone smile to see the siding going back
on there home and dream!

Well it is all dry fitted and it looks great!!

A Few More Pictures from the Month!:

Some window framing!

Dad found a new use for sleds!  One for his tools and
one for himself to stay dry climbing under the camper! :)
